Joshua Tree Experts in Winnetka, IL
Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in Winnetka
Winnetka's mature parkway trees and shaded estate lots demand a level of tree care most lawn companies can't match. Emerald ash borer, Japanese beetles, and lake-effect winters all leave their mark on North Shore properties, and one missed treatment window can cost a homeowner a century-old tree.
Yards in the Chicago North Shore take a beating, and a Winnetka property that gets behind on the work shows it fast.
That's the part of the job we take off your plate. Joshua Tree Experts in Winnetka handles tree care that respects how oaks and maples grow in our Midwest clay loam, lawn programs tuned to the cool-season grasses thriving here, and pest control that keeps Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off your property. Our local crew runs the full Winnetka calendar — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.
Let's sit down, look at your Winnetka yard, and tell you what we'd actually do.

Helping Winnetka Residents Care
For Yards They Love
Keeping a Winnetka yard healthy in the North Shore comes down to three things: knowing the soil, timing the work to our climate, and using treatments that fit what's actually growing here. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control to keep your property looking its best year-round.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
Around Winnetka, trees grow under real pressure — emerald ash borer (EAB), Dutch elm disease, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from lake-effect winters. Our Winnetka tree services include expert tree trimming done at the right time of year — which, for ash and our native oaks, makes a real difference in long-term health. We focus on the structural and pest issues actually showing up in this region.
On a typical Winnetka lot, the trees you see most are white oak, sugar maple, and American elm. Our certified arborists handle the full scope — pruning, fertilization, structural work, and pest pressure — including:
- Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
- Tree removal
- Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Midwest clay loam
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
- Storm damage cleanup after Midwest winter storms and lake-effect events
On a Winnetka property, the difference shows up in canopy density, leaf color, and the weight on the limbs.
Winnetka Lawn Care Programs
Lawn care on a Winnetka property is a calendar problem. Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue each react differently to our clay loam and humid summer heat — and what looks great in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs are built around the cool-season grasses growing here, the time of year, and what your Winnetka yard is actually facing:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Midwest clay loam
- Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Chicago North Shore (the first round goes down in early April)
- Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
With the right service at the right time, your Winnetka lawn grows in thick, green, and healthy. No guesswork; we'll create results you can see.
Licensed Pest Control Services
Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. On a Winnetka property, Chicago pest pressure runs from spring through late fall — and the only thing that beats it is consistent perimeter work timed to when the pressure is actually building. Our pest control programs create a real barrier and treat at the source:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
Year over year on a Winnetka lot, this is what quietly keeps the worst of the Chicago North Shore pest pressure off your property.

A Company Local To You
On a Winnetka property, the work is only as good as the people doing it. Our specialists know Winnetka soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species growing in your yard inside and out. There's a real difference between a national chain rolling through with a generic program and a local team that's spent years figuring out what works in this part of Illinois.
What Winnetka homeowners get with us is the opposite of the franchise-grade upsell experience: a clear plan, transparent pricing, and a local team that actually shows up when they say they will.

Franchise Owners,
Adam Antol & Jay Jorbin
Adam and Jay have been work colleagues, friends, and business partners for 20 years. Both grew up in the Chicagoland area and call the northern suburbs their home. Unsurprisingly, they share common interests: spending time with family, being outdoors, and rooting for their favorite baseball teams (Adam is a White Sox fan, while Jay cheers for the Cubs).
Adam has a diverse professional history. He spent 25 years with multiple Fortune 50 companies and managed his family’s real estate and construction businesses before embarking on his Joshua Tree Experts journey. Even though he is a self-proclaimed workaholic, he loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
Jay spent 20 years in the Corporate world, but always had the “entrepreneurial itch.” Spending as much free time in nature as possible, Joshua Tree Experts was the perfect fit to combine his passions of environmentalism and community engagement. He has been happily married for 15 years and loves coaching little league for his three sons.
Both Adam and Jay are extremely excited to service the northern suburbs of Chicago and are eager to provide superior tree care services for their community.
