Joshua Tree Experts in Lake Forest, IL
Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in
Lake Forest
Lake Forest estates carry some of the most valuable mature trees in northern Illinois, and protecting them takes more than a once-a-year spray. Emerald ash borer, two-lined chestnut borer, oak wilt, and Japanese beetles all factor into a real Lake County tree-care plan. Around Lake Forest, the Chicago North Shore weather and soil expose every shortcut a yard ever skipped.
That's exactly where our crew comes in. Joshua Tree Experts in Lake Forest delivers the full picture: tree care that respects oaks and maples on our Midwest clay loam, lawn programs built for the cool-season grasses thriving here, and pest control that keeps Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off your yard. We know what Lake Forest properties need every season — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.
Let's get your yard looking like the one you've been picturing.

Helping Lake Forest Stay Beautiful
Healthy Lake Forest yards in the North Shore come from three things lining up: the soil, the season, and the treatments. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control built around exactly that.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
The Chicago North Shore doesn't reward shortcuts on tree care. Emerald ash borer (EAB), Dutch elm disease, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from lake-effect winters all show up here, and timing matters — especially for ash and our native oaks. Our Lake Forest tree services include expert tree trimming in the right window, structural shaping, and the targeted treatments this region actually demands.
On a typical Lake Forest lot, the trees you see most are white oak, sugar maple, and American elm. Our certified arborists handle the full scope — pruning, fertilization, structural work, and pest pressure — including:
- Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
- Tree removal
- Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Midwest clay loam
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
- Storm damage cleanup after Midwest winter storms and lake-effect events
We'll keep your Lake Forest trees strong, healthy, and looking great through every Illinois season.
Lake Forest Lawn Care Programs
Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue are the typical mix on Lake Forest lawns, and each behaves differently in our clay loam and humid summer heat. What works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs are built around the cool-season grasses growing here:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Midwest clay loam
- Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Chicago North Shore (the first round goes down in early April)
- Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
With the right service at the right time, we help your lawn grow thick, green, and healthy. No guesswork; we'll create results you can see.
Licensed Pest Control Services
Pest pressure on a Lake Forest property is seasonal, predictable, and unforgiving. Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Chicago pest pressure runs from spring through late fall. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your home and treat harborage areas before pests build up:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
Done on a real schedule, perimeter pest control quietly does its job in the background of every Lake Forest yard.

A Company Local To You
Hiring a tree, lawn, or pest service in Lake Forest should mean hiring people who actually know the property they're working on. At Joshua Tree Experts, our specialists know Lake Forest's soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species in your yard. That's a real difference from a national chain rolling through with a generic program built somewhere else.
You'll always know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and how it's helping your property thrive. With us, you'll never get shady upsells or gimmicky lawn hacks — just honest pricing and local service you can count on.

Franchise Owners,
Adam Antol & Jay Jorbin
Adam and Jay have been work colleagues, friends, and business partners for 20 years. Both grew up in the Chicagoland area and call the northern suburbs their home. Unsurprisingly, they share common interests: spending time with family, being outdoors, and rooting for their favorite baseball teams (Adam is a White Sox fan, while Jay cheers for the Cubs).
Adam has a diverse professional history. He spent 25 years with multiple Fortune 50 companies and managed his family’s real estate and construction businesses before embarking on his Joshua Tree Experts journey. Even though he is a self-proclaimed workaholic, he loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
Jay spent 20 years in the Corporate world, but always had the “entrepreneurial itch.” Spending as much free time in nature as possible, Joshua Tree Experts was the perfect fit to combine his passions of environmentalism and community engagement. He has been happily married for 15 years and loves coaching little league for his three sons.
Both Adam and Jay are extremely excited to service the northern suburbs of Chicago and are eager to provide superior tree care services for their community.
