Joshua Tree Experts in Western Springs, IL
Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in
Western Springs
Western Springs took its name from the natural mineral springs that once drew Chicagoans west, and the village still leans heavily on its mature tree canopy and well-kept yards. That canopy needs active protection from EAB, Dutch elm disease, and seasonal insect pressure to keep its character intact. Chicagoland yards take a beating, and a Western Springs property that gets behind on the work shows it fast.
That's exactly where our crew comes in. Joshua Tree Experts in Western Springs delivers the full picture: tree care that respects oaks and maples on our Midwest clay loam, lawn programs built for the cool-season grasses thriving here, and pest control that keeps Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off your yard. We know what Western Springs properties need every season — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.
Let's figure out, on your Western Springs lot specifically, what makes the biggest difference.

Helping Western Springs Residents Care
For Yards They Love
Keeping a Western Springs yard healthy in Chicagoland comes down to three things: knowing the soil, timing the work to our climate, and using treatments that fit what's actually growing here. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control to keep your property looking its best year-round.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
Chicagoland doesn't reward shortcuts on tree care. Emerald ash borer (EAB), Dutch elm disease, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from harsh Midwest winters all show up here, and timing matters — especially for ash and our native oaks. Our Western Springs tree services include expert tree trimming in the right window, structural shaping, and the targeted treatments this region actually demands.
Whether your Western Springs yard has white oak, sugar maple, and American elm, or some mix of all of them, the goal is the same on a Western Springs property: trees that get healthier each year, not weaker. Our certified arborists handle every piece, including:
- Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
- Tree removal
- Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Midwest clay loam
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
- Storm damage cleanup after Midwest winter storms
It's the difference between Western Springs trees that quietly decline and trees that thrive on the same lot for decades.
Western Springs Lawn Care Programs
Most Western Springs lawns are some mix of Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue, and each grass behaves differently in our clay loam and humid summer heat. What looks great in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs stay on the cool-season grasses calendar that actually keeps Western Springs turf healthy:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Midwest clay loam
- Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for Chicagoland (the first round goes down in early April)
- Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
With the right service at the right time, your Western Springs lawn grows in thick, green, and healthy. No guesswork; we'll create results you can see.
Licensed Pest Control Services
Around Western Springs, the pest pressure runs the same way every year. Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Chicago pest pressure runs from spring through late fall, and a one-time spray won't keep up with it. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your property and stay ahead of the season:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
Year after year, this is what keeps Western Springs properties out of the worst of the season.

That's a real difference from a national chain rolling through with a generic program built somewhere else.
On every Western Springs property we touch, you'll always know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and how it's helping your yard thrive. With us, you'll never get shady upsells or gimmicky lawn hacks — just honest pricing and local service you can count on.

Adam Antol & Jay Jorbin
Adam and Jay have been work colleagues, friends, and business partners for 20 years. Both grew up in the Chicagoland area and call the northern suburbs their home. Unsurprisingly, they share common interests: spending time with family, being outdoors, and rooting for their favorite baseball teams (Adam is a White Sox fan, while Jay cheers for the Cubs).
Adam has a diverse professional history. He spent 25 years with multiple Fortune 50 companies and managed his family’s real estate and construction businesses before embarking on his Joshua Tree Experts journey. Even though he is a self-proclaimed workaholic, he loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter.
Jay spent 20 years in the Corporate world, but always had the “entrepreneurial itch.” Spending as much free time in nature as possible, Joshua Tree Experts was the perfect fit to combine his passions of environmentalism and community engagement. He has been happily married for 15 years and loves coaching little league for his three sons.
Both Adam and Jay are extremely excited to service the northern suburbs of Chicago and are eager to provide superior tree care services for their community.
