Joshua Tree Experts in Northbrook, IL

Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in
Northbrook

Northbrook homeowners deal with cool-season turf, mature shade trees, and a long list of insect and disease pressures that swing hard with each season. EAB, oak wilt vectors, Japanese beetles, and grub damage all need to be managed on a calendar — not after the damage shows up. On a Northbrook lot, the wear from the Chicago North Shore climate adds up quietly — until the yard you used to enjoy stops feeling like one.

That's where Joshua Tree Experts comes in. Our Northbrook crew handles the full picture: tree care that respects oaks and maples on our Midwest clay loam, a cool-season grasses lawn program that thrives in our climate, and pest control that keeps Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off the property. We know what Northbrook yards need across every season — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.

Let's figure out, on your Northbrook lot specifically, what makes the biggest difference.

Helping Northbrook's Outdoor Spaces
Stay Beautiful

Keeping a Northbrook yard healthy in the North Shore comes down to three things: knowing the soil, timing the work to our climate, and using treatments that fit what's actually growing here. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control to keep your property looking its best year-round.

ISA-Certified Tree Services

Trees on a Northbrook property face a specific set of pressures every year — emerald ash borer (EAB), Dutch elm disease, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from lake-effect winters. Our tree services in Northbrook handle all of it: expert tree trimming in the right window, structural shaping, and protection from the issues that actually show up in the Chicago North Shore (especially on ash and our native oaks).

Your Northbrook trees should be adding value to the property, not creating stress. Our certified arborists handle every part of caring for the species we see most across Northbrook — white oak, sugar maple, and American elm — including:

  • Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
  • Tree removal
  • Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Midwest clay loam
  • Insect and disease management
  • Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
  • Storm damage cleanup after Midwest winter storms and lake-effect events

On a Northbrook property, the difference shows up in canopy density, leaf color, and the weight on the limbs.

Northbrook Lawn Care Programs

Most Northbrook lawns are some mix of Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue, and each grass behaves differently in our clay loam and humid summer heat. What looks great in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs stay on the cool-season grasses calendar that actually keeps Northbrook turf healthy:

  • Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Midwest clay loam
  • Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
  • Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Chicago North Shore (the first round goes down in early April)
  • Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here

Consistent timing on a Northbrook yard beats expensive guesswork every time.

Licensed Pest Control Services

Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Chicago pest pressure runs from spring through late fall, and a one-time spray won't keep up with it. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your property and treat the source, not just what you can see crawling around. Here's what's included:

  • Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
  • Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
  • Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
  • Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year

Done on a real schedule, perimeter pest control quietly does its job in the background of every Northbrook yard.

A Company Local To You

When you're investing in lawn, tree, or pest services, you want results you can see — and a company that actually answers the phone. At Joshua Tree Experts, our trained specialists know Northbrook's soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species growing in your yard inside and out. There's a real difference between a national chain rolling through with a generic property and a local team that's spent years figuring out what works in this part of Illinois.

On a Northbrook yard, you should never have to guess what was done or why. We document the work, we explain the recommendations, and we charge what we quoted — nothing more.

Franchise Owners,
Adam Antol & Jay Jorbin

Adam and Jay have been work colleagues, friends, and business partners for 20 years. Both grew up in the Chicagoland area and call the northern suburbs their home. Unsurprisingly, they share common interests: spending time with family, being outdoors, and rooting for their favorite baseball teams (Adam is a White Sox fan, while Jay cheers for the Cubs).

Adam has a diverse professional history. He spent 25 years with multiple Fortune 50 companies and managed his family’s real estate and construction businesses before embarking on his Joshua Tree Experts journey. Even though he is a self-proclaimed workaholic, he loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter.

Jay spent 20 years in the Corporate world, but always had the “entrepreneurial itch.” Spending as much free time in nature as possible, Joshua Tree Experts was the perfect fit to combine his passions of environmentalism and community engagement. He has been happily married for 15 years and loves coaching little league for his three sons.

Both Adam and Jay are extremely excited to service the northern suburbs of Chicago and are eager to provide superior tree care services for their community.
