Joshua Tree Experts in Highland Park, IL

Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in
Highland Park

Highland Park properties sit on heavy clay, ravine edges, and historic plantings that don't forgive shortcuts. Whether it's iron chlorosis on pin oaks, EAB on parkway ash, or grub damage on a Kentucky bluegrass lawn, the issues here need a local diagnosis — not a national checklist. Yards in the Chicago North Shore take a beating, and a Highland Park property that gets behind on the work shows it fast.

That's where Joshua Tree Experts comes in. Our Highland Park crew handles the full picture: tree care that respects oaks and maples on our Midwest clay loam, a cool-season grasses lawn program that thrives in our climate, and pest control that keeps Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off the property. We know what Highland Park yards need across every season — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.

Let's figure out, on your Highland Park lot specifically, what makes the biggest difference.

Helping Highland Park Residents Care
For Yards They Love

On a Highland Park property, a healthy yard depends on three things working together: knowing the North Shore soil, timing the work to our climate, and matching treatments to what's actually growing here. We handle every part of it year-round.

ISA-Certified Tree Services

The Chicago North Shore is hard on trees — emerald ash borer (EAB), Dutch elm disease, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from lake-effect winters. Our tree services in Highland Park include expert tree trimming done at the right time of year, especially for ash and our native oaks. We work to remove weak and crossing limbs, open up airflow, and protect your canopy from the threats that actually show up in the Chicago North Shore.

Your Highland Park trees should be adding value to the property, not creating stress. Our certified arborists handle every part of caring for the species we see most across Highland Park — white oak, sugar maple, and American elm — including:

  • Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
  • Tree removal
  • Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Midwest clay loam
  • Insect and disease management
  • Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
  • Storm damage cleanup after Midwest winter storms and lake-effect events

Year after year, this is what separates a healthy Highland Park canopy from one quietly losing limbs.

Highland Park Lawn Care Programs

Your Highland Park lawn lives or dies by what gets done in the first 60 days of the growing season. Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue each behave differently in our clay loam and humid summer heat, and what works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs stay on that calendar:

  • Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Midwest clay loam
  • Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
  • Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Chicago North Shore (the first round goes down in early April)
  • Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here

With the right service at the right time, we help your lawn grow thick, green, and healthy. No guesswork; we'll create results you can see.

Licensed Pest Control Services

Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Chicago pest pressure runs from spring through late fall on a Highland Park property, and a one-time spray won't keep up with it. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your home and treat the source, not just what you can see crawling around. Here's what's included:

  • Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
  • Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
  • Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
  • Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year

Done right on a Highland Park property, you'll stop noticing the pressure that used to define every summer.

A Company Local To You

When you're investing in lawn, tree, or pest services on a Highland Park property, you want results you can see — and a company that actually answers the phone. At Joshua Tree Experts, our specialists know Highland Park soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species growing in your yard inside and out. There's a real difference between a national chain running a generic program and a local team that's spent years on Illinois properties.

On a Highland Park yard, you should never have to guess what was done or why. We document the work, we explain the recommendations, and we charge what we quoted — nothing more.

Franchise Owners,
Adam Antol & Jay Jorbin

Adam and Jay have been work colleagues, friends, and business partners for 20 years. Both grew up in the Chicagoland area and call the northern suburbs their home. Unsurprisingly, they share common interests: spending time with family, being outdoors, and rooting for their favorite baseball teams (Adam is a White Sox fan, while Jay cheers for the Cubs).

Adam has a diverse professional history. He spent 25 years with multiple Fortune 50 companies and managed his family’s real estate and construction businesses before embarking on his Joshua Tree Experts journey. Even though he is a self-proclaimed workaholic, he loves spending time with his wife, son and daughter.

Jay spent 20 years in the Corporate world, but always had the “entrepreneurial itch.” Spending as much free time in nature as possible, Joshua Tree Experts was the perfect fit to combine his passions of environmentalism and community engagement. He has been happily married for 15 years and loves coaching little league for his three sons.

Both Adam and Jay are extremely excited to service the northern suburbs of Chicago and are eager to provide superior tree care services for their community.
