Joshua Tree Experts in Boulder
Tree Services, Lawn Care & Pest Control Services
Mountain-edge Boulder property with mature pines stressed by bark beetles. A bluegrass lawn fighting drought and wind. Wasps in places they shouldn't be. Yards in the Front Range take a beating, and a Boulder property that gets behind on the work shows it fast.
That's the work we handle for Boulder homeowners. Joshua Tree Experts brings tree care tuned to how spruces and cottonwoods grow in our alkaline Front Range soil, lawn programs built around the cool-season grasses that thrive here, and pest control that keeps wasps and box elder bugs off your property. Every Boulder yard gets the calendar it actually needs — from late-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.
Let's get your Boulder yard back to where it should be.

Helping Keep Boulder Lawns and Trees Healthy
On a Boulder property, a healthy yard depends on three things working together: knowing the north Denver metro soil, timing the work to our climate, and matching treatments to what's actually growing here. We handle every part of it year-round.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
he Front Range is hard on trees — alkaline soil, intense Colorado drought stress, late spring snowstorms that snap leafed-out branches, and emerald ash borer pressure on green ash. Our tree services in Boulder include expert tree trimming done at the right time of year, especially for aspens and our native spruces. We work to remove weak and crossing limbs, open up airflow, and protect your canopy from the threats that actually show up in the Front Range.
On a typical Boulder lot, the trees you see most are blue spruce, quaking aspen, and plains cottonwood. Our certified arborists handle the full scope — pruning, fertilization, structural work, and pest pressure — including:
- Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
- Tree removal
- Deep-root fertilization for alkaline-soil deficiencies like iron chlorosis
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older cottonwoods and storm-loaded limbs
- Storm damage cleanup after Front Range hail and wind events
When the work is timed right, your Boulder trees do the rest of the job themselves.
Boulder Lawn Care Programs
(Coming Soon)
Your Boulder lawn lives or dies by what gets done in the first 60 days of the growing season. Kentucky bluegrass, Tall fescue, Perennial ryegrass, and Buffalograss each behave differently in our alkaline soil and dry summer heat, and what works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs stay on that calendar:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization (alkaline soil throws nutrient uptake out of balance — testing matters)
- Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Front Range (the first round goes down in late April)
- Billbug and grub management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
Year after year, this is what keeps Boulder lawns dense, green, and ahead of the weeds.
Licensed Pest Control Services
(Coming Soon)
Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Box elder bugs swarming siding by mid-October. Spiders that appear when temperatures drop. Colorado pest pressure is seasonal but real on a Boulder property, and a one-time spray won't keep up with it. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your home and treat the source, not just what you can see crawling around. Here's what's included:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Wasp and stinging-insect suppression through summer
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
On a Boulder property, you'll get year-round protection with treatments that actually hold up in our climate.

A Company Local To You

At Joshua Tree Experts, our specialists know Boulder's soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species in your yard. That's a real difference from a national chain rolling through with a generic program built somewhere else.
On every Boulder property we touch, you'll always know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and how it's helping your yard thrive. With us, you'll never get shady upsells or gimmicky lawn hacks — just honest pricing and local service you can count on.
