Joshua Tree Experts in Flower Mound, TX
Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in
Flower Mound
Mature trees that came with the home and need more attention than weekend mowing. Bermuda struggling under the canopy. Wasps where the kids play. A Flower Mound yard that falls a season behind in North Texas is hard to bring back without the right plan.
That's the gap we fill. Joshua Tree Experts in Flower Mound brings tree care for oaks and elms on our heavy clay soil, lawn programs calibrated for the warm-season grasses growing here, and pest control timed to keep fire ants and mosquitoes off your property. Our local crew knows the Flower Mound season inside and out — from late-winter pre-emergent through the heat of August and into fall cleanup.
Let's sit down, look at your Flower Mound yard, and tell you what we'd actually do.

Helping Flower Mound Residents Care
For Yards They Love
A great Flower Mound yard in North Dallas isn't complicated — it's soil, timing, and treatments that match the species growing here. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control to keep your property thriving every season.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
North Texas is hard on trees — alkaline blackland-prairie clay, summer drought stress, and the constant threat of oak wilt across our native oak population. Our tree services in Flower Mound include expert tree trimming done at the right time of year, especially for live oaks and red oaks here. We work to remove weak and crossing limbs, open up airflow, and protect your canopy from the threats that actually show up in North Texas.
Your trees should add value to your home, not stress you out. Our certified arborists handle every part of caring for the species we see most in Flower Mound yards — live oak, post oak, Shumard red oak, cedar elm, pecan, bald cypress, crape myrtle — including:
- Tree trimming, timed to avoid oak wilt risk
- Tree removal
- Fertilization for alkaline-soil deficiencies like iron chlorosis
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older live oaks and post oaks
- Storm damage cleanup after North Texas thunderstorms and ice events
It's the difference between Flower Mound trees that quietly decline and trees that thrive on the same lot for decades.
Flower Mound Lawn Care Programs
Your Flower Mound lawn lives or dies by what gets done in the first 60 days of the growing season. Bermuda, St. Augustine, and Zoysia each behave differently in our clay soil and summer heat, and what works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs stay on that calendar:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization (alkaline soil throws nutrient uptake out of balance — testing matters)
- Aeration to break up compacted clay
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for North Texas (the first round goes down in late February)
- Grub and chinch bug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
Done in the right order, this is what keeps a Flower Mound lawn ahead of the heat all summer.
Licensed Pest Control Services
Mosquitoes that show up after every rain. Fire ants taking over the yard. Ticks waiting wherever the lawn meets the trees. On a Flower Mound property, North Texas pest pressure runs nearly year-round — and the only thing that beats it is consistent perimeter work timed to when the pressure is actually building. Our pest control programs create a real barrier and treat at the source:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Fire ant control and stinging-insect suppression
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
Done on a real schedule, perimeter pest control quietly does its job in the background of every Flower Mound yard.

A Company Local To You
What separates our crews on a Flower Mound property from the chain trucks is the time we've spent here specifically. Our specialists know Flower Mound's soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species growing in your yard inside and out — not the version that shows up in a national checklist.
On a Flower Mound yard, you should never have to guess what was done or why. We document the work, we explain the recommendations, and we charge what we quoted — nothing more.

For Chris Burnett, caring for North Texas trees is personal.
Born and raised in Flower Mound, Chris is now raising his own family in the same community that shaped him. The neighborhoods and tree-lined streets he grew up around are the very ones he now works to protect and enhance.
After earning his degree in Agriculture from Texas A&M University, Chris built a career rooted in professionalism and leadership before returning home to launch Joshua Tree Experts – North Dallas. His mission is simple: serve his neighbors with integrity and elevate the standard of tree care in the community he loves.
Chris specializes in proper pruning, proactive plant health care, storm preparation, and, when necessary, safe and professional tree removals. His approach blends agricultural science with hands-on experience and a deep respect for the challenges North Texas trees face.
When he’s not serving clients, Chris is coaching travel baseball, spending time with his wife—his high school sweetheart—and their four children, or wrangling one of their three dogs: Ranger, Rosie, or Pudge.
This isn’t just a business. It’s stewardship.
“Strong trees build strong communities. We’re here to protect both.”
