Joshua Tree Experts in Apex, NC
Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in Apex
Newer Apex landscaping aging fast. Pine bark beetles working on the loblollies. Carpenter bees in the deck rails every spring. An Apex yard that falls a season behind in the Triangle is hard to bring back without the right plan.
That's the gap we fill. Joshua Tree Experts in Apex brings tree care for pines and oaks on our Piedmont red clay, lawn programs calibrated for the transition-zone grasses growing here, and pest control timed to keep fire ants and mosquitoes off your property. Our local crew knows the Apex season inside and out — from late-winter pre-emergent through the heat of August and into fall cleanup.
Let's build the Apex plan your yard is actually asking for.

Helping Apex Yards Stay Vibrant
Healthy Apex yards in the Triangle come from three things lining up: the soil, the season, and the treatments. We offer full-service tree care, lawn care, and pest control built around exactly that.
ISA-Certified Tree Services
Trees in the Triangle carry real pressure — humid Carolina summers, southern pine beetle pressure on loblolly and shortleaf pines, and hypoxylon canker on drought-stressed oaks. Our Apex tree services include expert tree trimming done in the right window — for loblollies and our native oaks, the timing matters more than most homeowners realize. We focus on weak and crossing limbs, canopy airflow, and the issues that actually show up in this region.
Your Apex trees should be adding value to the property, not creating stress. Our certified arborists handle every part of caring for the species we see most across Apex — loblolly pine, shortleaf pine, willow oak, white oak, water oak, sweetgum, southern magnolia, dogwood, tulip poplar — including:
- Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
- Tree removal
- Deep-root fertilization tuned for our Piedmont red clay
- Insect and disease management
- Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
- Storm damage cleanup after Piedmont thunderstorms and ice events
When the work is timed right, your Apex trees do the rest of the job themselves.
Apex Lawn Care Programs
A great-looking Apex lawn doesn't happen by accident. Tall fescue, Bermuda, Zoysia, and Centipede each react differently to our Piedmont red clay and humid summer heat, and what works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn't dialed in. Our lawn care programs run on the transition-zone grasses window that Apex yards actually need:
- Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to Piedmont red clay
- Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
- Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for the Triangle (the first round goes down in late February to early March)
- Grub and chinch bug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here
When the calendar is right, your Apex lawn takes care of itself the rest of the year.
Licensed Pest Control Services
Mosquitoes after every spring rain. Fire ants in places they have no business being. Yellowjackets nesting in the ground by August. Carolina pest pressure runs nearly year-round on an Apex property, and a one-time spray won't keep up with it. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your home and treat the source, not just what you can see crawling around. Here's what's included:
- Perimeter barrier treatments around your home's foundation
- Fire ant and wasp suppression through summer
- Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
- Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year
Done right on an Apex property, you'll stop noticing the pressure that used to define every summer.

A Company Local To You
What separates our crews on an Apex property from the chain trucks is the time we've spent here specifically. Our specialists know Apex's soil, our climate, our pest pressure, and the species growing in your yard inside and out — not the version that shows up in a national checklist.
Every visit to your Apex property comes with a clear explanation of what we did, why we did it, and what comes next. No surprise charges, no upsell pressure — just honest pricing and consistent local service.
