Tree Service, Lawn Care & Pest Control in Whiteland

Whiteland homeowners take pride in well-maintained lawns and healthy yard trees, and keeping them that way takes more than a once-a-year spray. EAB on parkway ash, grub damage on cool-season turf, and Japanese beetle pressure all need to be managed on a calendar. Around Whiteland, central Indiana weather and soil expose every shortcut a yard ever skipped.

That’s the gap we fill. Joshua Tree Experts in Whiteland brings tree care for oaks and maples on our central Indiana clay soil, lawn programs calibrated for the cool-season grasses growing here, and pest control timed to keep Japanese beetles and mosquitoes off your property. Our local crew knows the Whiteland season inside and out — from early-April pre-emergent through the heat of summer and into fall cleanup.

Let’s sit down, look at your Whiteland yard, and tell you what we’d actually do.

Helping Whiteland Yards Stay Healthy

On a Whiteland property, a healthy yard depends on three things working together: knowing central Indiana soil, timing the work to our climate, and matching treatments to what’s actually growing here. We handle every part of it year-round.

ISA-Certified Tree Services

Central Indiana trees grow in tough conditions — emerald ash borer (EAB), oak wilt, Japanese beetles, and bark splitting from freeze-thaw cycles. Our tree services in Whiteland include expert tree trimming done at the right time of year — which, for ash and our native oaks, matters more than most homeowners realize. We focus on removing weak and crossing limbs, opening up airflow, and protecting your trees from the issues that actually show up in this region.

Your Whiteland trees should be adding value to the property, not creating stress. Our certified arborists handle every part of caring for the species we see most across Whiteland — white oak, tulip poplar, and sugar maple — including:

  • Tree trimming, timed to dormancy when possible
  • Tree removal
  • Deep-root fertilization tuned for our central Indiana clay
  • Insect and disease management
  • Cabling & bracing for older oaks and storm-loaded limbs
  • Storm damage cleanup after Midwest thunderstorms and ice events

Done at the right time, this is what keeps Whiteland trees standing for the long haul.

Whiteland Lawn Care Programs

A great-looking Whiteland lawn doesn’t happen by accident. Kentucky bluegrass, Perennial ryegrass, and Turf-type tall fescue each react differently to our clay soil and humid summer heat, and what works in May can fall apart by August if the program isn’t dialed in. Our lawn care programs run on the cool-season grasses window that Whiteland yards actually need:

  • Soil testing and custom fertilization tuned to central Indiana clay
  • Aeration and overseeding timed to our growing season
  • Pre- and post-emergent weed control timed for central Indiana (the first round goes down in early April)
  • Grub and billbug management — the two pests that wreck a lawn here

Year after year, this is what keeps Whiteland lawns dense, green, and ahead of the weeds.

Licensed Pest Control Services

Pest control on a Whiteland property shouldn’t be reactive. Japanese beetles defoliating roses and lindens by July. Mosquitoes after every summer rain. Wasps and yellowjackets that show up by August. Indiana pest pressure runs from spring through late fall, and once the pressure shows up, you’re already behind. Our pest control programs create a real barrier around your home and stay ahead of the season:

  • Perimeter barrier treatments around your home’s foundation
  • Japanese beetle and wasp suppression through summer
  • Mosquito, flea, and tick management (especially important after summer storms)
  • Seasonal pest monitoring and prevention through every part of the year

Year after year, this is what keeps Whiteland properties out of the worst of the season.

Matt Hamm - Indianapolis North, IN

Franchise Owner, Matt Hamm

Matt Hamm has worked in the pharmacy industry for three decades. Now, in addition to offering healing services to people, he is trying his hand at healing trees.

Hamm has been a part owner in his pharmacy for years and has enjoyed many aspects of business ownership, but he was keen to learn something new and subsidize his retirement fund at the same time. Franchising wasn’t Hamm’s first thought, but he spoke to a friend of his who happens to be a franchise broker. After hearing about the benefits of the franchise model, Hamm decided to look into potential opportunities. He researched several brands, but kept coming back to Joshua Tree Experts, the emerging tree care franchise.

“I loved that it felt like three franchises in one. There are multiple streams of revenue with tree service, lawn care and pest control,” he said. Hamm also felt that the corporate team put a lot of trust in him and welcomed him with open arms, making him feel confident and supported in his new business (which currently covers three large territories). Hamm was drawn to the stability of the model, but he also was interested in the brand’s emphasis on tree care.

“The brand doesn’t just go and cut down trees. They specialize in tree preservation, which is something I really appreciate,” he said. He looks forward to offering services in the southside and westside regions of Indianapolis, IN.
